What is Gameday Parents?
Gameday Parents is an online learning hub with live instruction that teaches parents how to pitch in and provide services where youth team budgets drop off.
Gameday Parents helps moms and dads step up and fill important roles within their kids’ teams that most teams can’t budget for.
Imagine every game with a cool videographer, a hype P.A. announcer, a play-by-play broadcaster, and a first-aid assistant – your kids would love it! Since most team budgets don’t cover that, Gameday Parents helps parents fill those roles, making the whole sports experience way more fun and memorable for the kids!
Who's behind Gameday Parents?
Three dads from Connecticut – Eric, Rob, and David. While coaching our own kids’ teams, we realized two things: We had plenty of knowledge that could help other parents and coaches, mixed in with a few lessons we wished someone had shared with us. And there were fun, simple roles that parents could take on that would make a big difference in the kids’ experience! So we created easy-to-follow classes so parents could get involved, and keep kids loving sports!
Eric Scholl
Eric Scholl brings an energetic, supportive approach to youth sports and PA announcing.
As a father of five, he’s coached both boys and girls across baseball, softball, basketball, and beyond—from community leagues to high school. Eric is known for his focus on making sports fun while building skills across age groups and creating a positive environment for players to shine in every game situation.
On the mic, Eric has announced over 350 sporting events in the past eight years, taking lead roles for teams at Yale, Sacred Heart, and Fairfield universities. His professionalism and friendliness have led to assignments at eight colleges and universities covering ten different sports and numerous NCAA Tournament playoff games.
Eric’s blend of expertise and uplifting spirit helps athletes and audiences alike enjoy every moment, whether he’s on the field or behind the microphone.
Rob Adams
Rob Adams is a lifelong broadcaster and storyteller.
He kicked off his radio career in 1990 on Majic 105 Radio in Patterson, NY, followed by stops at WREF and WGCH in Connecticut, where he eventually became sports director and lead broadcaster. Rob has called championships for Greenwich sports, FCIAC, and state events throughout the tri-state area. As lead announcer, he’s brought excitement to games for organizations including the Hudson Valley Renegades and Bridgeport Bluefish, as well as Yale, St. John’s, and many others—covering Little League and Babe Ruth World Series matches, too.
Beyond the scoreboard, Rob covers civic and news events, hosts “Meet the Beatles,” and helped launch the HAN Network, bringing Fairfield County sports into the digital age. He’s interviewed legends, hosted shows like “Doubleheader” and “The Clubhouse,” and mentored budding broadcasters as a Connecticut School of Broadcasting instructor.
Rob holds a bachelor’s from Western Connecticut State University. He has a passion for music, movies, travel, history, and the occasional Waffle House visit. Originally from Mahopac, NY, Rob now calls Greenwich, CT home with his son Sean.
David Goldberg
David Goldberg is a speaking coach for athletes, politicians, CEOs, podcasters, celebrities, and entrepreneurs.
During grade school, he dove into piano and drums, and in high school, began performing with an all-adult orchestra in “Godspell.” His love for music filled his high school room with keyboards, keytars, and drums. College brought recording and mixing for local bands, launching what became Edge Studio.
After college, David engineered in major studios, recording and mixing with legends like Jon Mayer, Deep Purple, Mel Tormé, Liberty DeVitto (Billy Joel’s drummer), and José Feliciano, and even played keyboards and drums for John Mayer. Edge Studio grew alongside national projects—and produced over 150 albums. In 2007, he shifted Edge Studio from music to voiceover, sparking a new chapter.
David lives in Connecticut with his wife Jessica, sons Harrison and Benjamin, and two snorty English bulldogs, Spots and Mabel.
